For more than 3 decades Altuna y Uria, S.A. has carried out large-scale hydraulic works (dams, treatment plants…) And we were the first company to build underwater outfalls with the Mompás Outfall. These works have great technical difficulty and represent an improvement of the Environment and contribute to Sustainable Development.
Hydraulic projects
The Arriaran reservoir is built using conventional concrete. The reservoir is 57 m high, with a regulation capacity of 250 l/s and a drainage basin of 11 km².
On the edge of the reservoir, precisely on the sides of the ramped weir, a sculpture by Néstor Basterretxea crowns the dam with an abstract style from the Modern movement.
